Austin Hake, MD

Neurology

Austin Hake

Dr. Austin Hake is a dual board-certified neurologist at Pike County Memorial Hospital, seeing patients every Monday at the PCMH Bowling Green Medical Clinic. As a neurologist in Bowling Green, Missouri, Dr. Hake provides expert diagnosis and treatment of a comprehensive range of neurological conditions, including epilepsy, migraines, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and neuropathy for patients throughout Pike County.

Dr. Hake earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, a respected Jesuit institution with a strong reputation in clinical training. He completed his neurology and psychiatry residency at Saint Louis University, building a foundation that spans both neurological and psychiatric conditions. He then completed a neurology fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, one of the country’s leading academic neurology programs.

Dr. Hake is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology. The clinical neurophysiology certification reflects specialized training in EEG (electroencephalography) for epilepsy monitoring, EMG/nerve conduction studies for nerve and muscle disorders, and other electrophysiologic testing. This dual expertise means patients with both neurological and psychiatric components to their conditions receive integrated, nuanced care.

PCMH is the only hospital in Pike County with on-site neurology. Dr. Hake’s weekly presence at the Bowling Green Medical Clinic ensures that patients with chronic neurological conditions can receive consistent, ongoing specialist care without the burden of regular trips to a larger city. He works closely with PCMH’s primary care team to coordinate care for patients whose neurological conditions intersect with cardiovascular, endocrine, or behavioral health needs.
