Laboratory

Pike County Memorial Hospital Laboratory provides quality laboratory collection and testing. Laboratory testing is used to assist your physician in determining your health, diagnosis and treatment.

  • PCMH lab is staffed 24 hours a day
  • PCMH has working relationships with specialty labs to be used for unusual testing needs.
  • Outpatient lab collections are available on a walk-in basis with a lab request.
  • Lab tests can be performed on blood, urine, stool or other body fluids.
  • Lab results may be obtained through your health care provider or by contacting the PCMH Medical Records Department.

Pike County Memorial Hospital's Laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists.

Results of testing are sent directly to your doctor and are kept on file in our Laboratory Information system and your Medical Record. If you are admitted to Pike County Memorial Hospital, your doctor will have access to all of your previous test results.

Regulations prohibit any release of laboratory results to an individual other than a health care provider. Contact your health care provider or the Hospital's Medical Records Department to obtain copies of your results.
