Nurse Call System Technology Upgrade

2016 Campaign: Enhancing Med/Surg Department In-Patient Nursing Call System Technology

After careful examination of the needs of Pike County Memorial Hospital, the Foundation has decided to purchase new equipment for the Med/Surg department.

Benefits to Your Community

Complete Communication
Alerting
Work flow solutions

A med/surg department's main function is to provide excellent patient care and successful swing-bed transition. The upgraded technology and consistency of communications will help improve patient care. New equipment will insure that you continue to have access to high-quality med/surg inpatient and swing-bed services close to home.

Latest Technology

The accuracy and clarity of staff communications are critical in the healthcare environment. Our current nurse call system has been in place for approximately 30 years and uses outdated technology. A new nurse call system will ensure complete communication, alerting, reporting
and workflow solutions for our Med/Surg unit. Patient calls can be automatically routed to staff wireless devices, which means faster response while minimizing the disruptive overhead paging currently used to notify staff of patient calls. This integrated system approach to streamlining staff to patient interaction means more time for direct treatment and care resulting in improved
response time, quality of care, and patient satisfaction.
